My Hope Is in Thee

by | May 19, 2009 | Hope, Poem

(A Psalm Of Hope)

O’ Lord, my hope is in thee.
My heart seeks Your compassion.
My soul crieth out to thee, all the day long.
O’ Lord, my hope is in thee.

O’ Lord, my bones are weary.
My eyes burn with tears while I wait upon thee.
My lips have nothing but sweet praises for thee.
O’ Lord, my hope is in thee.

Lord, I will sing Your praises with mine whole heart.
I will wait upon thee for mine help.
I will seek Your counsel and understanding.
O’ Lord, my hope is in thee.

Though I walk in the midst of troubles,
Thine outstretched hand will save me.
Your mercy and grace will console me.
O’ Lord, my hope is in thee.

O’ Lord my heart and soul crieth out for thee.
I will wait, continuously, for Your instruction.
I will sing Your praises unto the four winds.
O’ Lord, my hope is in thee.
