Try a Little Trust

by | May 19, 2008 | Poem, Trust, Worry

My mother taught me a long time ago
That worrying is of little use.
It only clouds the mind, burdens the heart,
And binds your soul in a noose.

“If there’s something that you can do”, she’d say
“Stop worrying and get up and do it.
But if there’s nothing that can be done by you

Then you’d best let God see to it!”
Whether wealth, health, or family distresses,
Our God is always in control.
When we just turn loose and let God have His way,

We have riches more precious than gold.

A trusting heart and a worrying mind can never reside in the same body!
