Follow the Star

by | May 21, 2007 | Christmas, Poem

Merry Christmas to all, as you follow the light;
Our Savior is born, on this winter’s night.
Shepherds leaving their flocks in the fields at dawn;
To follow the star, to which they are drawn.

Three wise men who cometh, to bring Him gifts from afar;
They too had a feeling, to follow that star.
The little drummer boy, who had nothing to offer;
Also followed that star, and not once did he falter.

They were all of one accord…….and all of one mind;
Following that star, knowing what they would find.
Glory hallelujah, He is born, the angels did sing;
In a little town in Bethlehem, you will find the true King.

They came from far and near to worship the boy child;
Knowing He was good……….kind, gentle and mild.
Sent by God, the Father, to save us from sin;
The King of kings, and King of all men.

Remember Christmas, what it really stands for;
The birth of Christ……..fact, fiction or lore?
To those who believe, you will never truly die;
All because of a star…….in a far away sky.
