In the Midst

by | May 24, 2004 | Control, Poem, Surrender

In the midst of trials and troubles,
When my life is in despair,
I get down on my knees for comfort,
And find my Savior waiting there.

There’s no problem that is greater,
Than the love he feels for me,
It’s higher than the tallest mountain,
Deeper than the deep blue sea.

He can take your darkest hour,
Lift the veil until it’s light,
Just like the blind who could not see,
Until he gave them back their sight.

So if you’re feeling sad and lonely,
While walking down life’s rocky road,
Just search for Jesus in the midst,
He’s there to lift your heavy load.

And when the tidal waves are roaring,
Like a lion in your soul,
Don’t try to guide life’s ship alone,
Just let the Savior take control.
