Clinging to His Promise

by | May 25, 2003 | Poem, Promise, Promises

When a storm is raging in my soul;
I ask the Lord to take control.
Because I know, He always will,
His gentle voice says, “Peace Be Still.”

As tempest winds blow wild and free;
He casts His anchor out to me.
He whispers softly,” just hold on.”
My Saving Grace will lead you home.

When my world turns topsy turvy;
I know the Lord won’t let me down.
He takes my hand and says, “don’t worry.”
I’ll keep your feet on solid ground.

So, I’ll keep clinging to His promise;
Because I know He’s faithful still.
For when He speaks life’s storms obey Him,
And even the winds bow to His will.
