I’m Just Waiting

by | May 29, 2000 | Eternity, Heaven, Poem, Waiting

I’m just waiting for my home on high,
Where we’ll live forever and our souls will never die.
I can’t wait to talk with Moses and those Saints of old,
Hand in Hand with Jesus, on those streets of pure gold.

This world is filled with sorrow, troubles, and woe.
But, when I reach those Pearly Gates, They’ll open wide,
I know. I’ll see my Savior standing on the right hand of God’s throne.
Then, the waiting will be over for my heavenly home.

I can’t wait to join the angels as they praise God’s son
And I want to hear my Savior say, “My child, well done.”
There’s so much I’d like to tell Him, when I see Him face to face.
I’ll thank Him for His mercy, and His sweet Amazing Grace
