I have read that, “On the campus of Baylor University in Waco, Texas is the library containing the works of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Elizabeth’s parents so disapproved of her marriage to Robert that they disowned her.
“Weekly she wrote letters to her parents seeking reconciliation. They never replied and after ten years returned all the letters to her. None had been opened. Today these letters remain as some of her most beautiful in all English literature. Had her parents read only a few of them, reconciliation might have occurred.”
And yet through Elizabeth’s suffering and disappointment the world has been given her beautiful writings.

How much do we neglect to open God’s reconciliation letters to us. Are you willing to open God’s Word today? Or do you prefer to send His letters unopened back to Him? The choice is yours.
