Tiny Hands

by | Jun 6, 1998 | Love, Parenting, Poem

Longing desire I never grow tire
Of the tiny hands that will someday I touch
Oh I can already see that smiling face and know he will be
That one entrusted, that one that looks like me.

To know that someday you will say those words I love you
to know that you will feel loved by all but especially me
For this longing desire we have so long waited for
Will come to us so unexpectedly.

On that day I will touch your fingers and stroke your face
Just to know that someday you will embrace
The loving arms of your
And trust in His ever giving grace.
