"Do what is right and good in the Lord's sight, so that it may go well with you..." (Deuteronomy 6:18a, NIV)

Two days ago, we were in Rome. Interestingly enough, no one spoke Italian.

We entered a Walmart and took a cart. Oh! l forgot something, and it's not my shipping list! I remember now. We weren't in Rome, Italy, we were in Rome, N.Y! No wonder everyone spoke English!

My wife was looking for a level for our trailer. When she couldn't find one, she asked a clerk. Although he was working, he stopped his work and went looking for us.

Then she remembered she needed a shoemat. She found two clerks. The young one gave us directions a bit too fast. The other left his work behind and personally guided us to the shoe mats.

We were impressed by these employees. Wow! They truly cared!

We went to the cashier next. He made joke after joke. We laughed through the entire time he was ringing us up. It was obvious he loved his job, and no one in his line would be ever feel sad.

In that Walmart I found people who truely cared for their customers. They were following the advice writing in the Bible: "Do what is right and good in the Lord's sight, so that it may go well with you..." (Deuteronomy 6:18a, NIV)

What do you prefer: a sour puss? Or someone who cares? Which one will you be to others?
